EVALUATE IF THERE IS A MARKET NEED
Congratulations on finding your passion! Now that you’ve found it (or reconnected to it!), you’ll need customers. If the thought of marketing or competing with other "similar" entities daunts you, remember that only you can do what you can do! Make sense? In other words, you are the only person on the planet that can deliver your gift your way, with your passion and with your unique spin. Even if there are 100 other people in your community who technically occupy your space, your customers should have a completely unique experience with you. What is your niche? How will you do what you do in a way that no one else can? Once you have identified your unique space, start looking to former employers for potential customers. As corporations downsize and outsource work, there may be a place for you to sign on as a vendor of products or services! Also check out local networking groups and organizations that may have a need or a be a good fit for your product or service. Practice your marketing message by inviting feedback! What a great way to invite people into a conversation, test your thought process and build relationships!
