Today we remember the 40th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I am constantly in awe of the legacy of this man. He was thrown into the civil rights arena because he was "the new kid on the block" at only 26 years old and an up and coming minister in the Black community and yet, he was clearly destined to fulfill a role in history that only he could fill.
At times like these, I often wonder what the history books would say if King had said he was too busy to get involved…
How will history remember you? Everyday on the news we see stories of heartbreak and heartache. Crime, murder, kids killing kids… My daughter is being raised in a much more dangerous world than the one I grew up in. When I was a child, kids had fist fights. Now they use knives and guns—make that AK47’s…
How will you be remembered?
How will the world be different because you are here?
What if everyone said, "I’m too busy."
Make the difference that only you can make. Be the difference only you can be.
YES, you can!
