Networking is one of those areas in which one can engage in a lot of activity for little return if you aren't careful and/or strategic. For some, networking is more about quantity than quality and they simply figure that if they collect enough people someone in the group is bound to be of benefit to them.

Like many others, I am a fan of Seth Godin's work and I thought this was an interesting blog post. It intrigued me because as a coach, I often seem to be faced with "undoing" the mindset of the mundane set up by many of our learning institutions.
